Salute to Mr. Trayvon Martin

It is so sad that instead of moving forward we have been set back. Some things will never change but remain the same. Some people will always be stuck on stupid, sitting on silly and waiting on dumb. Some were just born that way, just straight up ignorant. It is really very disappointing when you think about it, some people still have a problem with skin color. The sad thing is, these people don't seem to get it, when we bleed it is all the same color, red. We breathe the same air, believe it or not, we are all a part of the same atmosphere that we call earth. It shouldn't make a difference what you wear, a hoodie, we all wear them, if you haven't you don't know what you are missing. Well, I take that back, I guess you are missing something, death ! I was always told that we all have a purpose in life, was Trayvon Martins purpose here on earth to bring us together as a people, as one? If you really look at it, that's the only thing that he lived long enough to do. I am a mother and I am very sure most mothers and fathers would feel the same, you don't want to bury your children. You really don't want to do this over what they are wearing, a hoodie. You don't want to do that period. I remember back in the day, when kids would beat you up over your sneakers, they would take them from you, or should I say steal them from you. Now we are killing over clothing or the color of a persons skin. Come on people, lets grow up, get right, get help or something.Thou shall not kill thy neighbor.I hope that from this terrible event we all will learn something from it. I certainly did. It doesn't matter about how big or small you are, what color you are, where you live, what you wear, what side of town you live on, or where you work, we are all people, we all hurt, we all live until we die. Lets not judge people, lets live together and help one another, that is what life is all about, that's what God put us here for, to live life more abundantly.We are suppose to progress, not regress. When grown people start going around killing other peoples children because of what they are wearing, we have been set back and we need to do something about it.Just think of it this way, it could be yours, for that matter it could be you! May God be with the Martin family and other families that have suffered a loss....

I have been in the...

I have been in the business of taking care of therapeutic teen males from the age of 15 years of age on up. I have recently started dealing with the mentally challenged adult males. This incident with young Trayvon Martin has sadden me, just as I am sure it has others. For the life of me , I just can't understand what triggers a person to kill anyone, let alone a child. I feel that we as Americans , have been set back to the days when Martin Luther King and others were marching for this very thing, injustice. Our black men are now as always , an endangered species. I have had all types of male teens in my home, Bloods, Cripes, MS13 and none of them were bad enough to kill, as a matter of fact, in my home they were perfect angels. There is one thing that we as people need to do and that is fight against injustice that has reared it's ugly head once again.

Out with the old and in with the New

The house of Amanda alternative fragrance has had a good year. I can tell you this, there is plenty of blessings awaiting us in 2012. At the beginning of 2011, it was a little shaky for us, due to the economy being the way it is, not just for me but for everyone. The good thing about the house of Amanda is, I have items that are much needed. Every day that you live on this planet, you will wash your body. Our company sold more African Black soap, Nubian soap, Dudu Osun soap because it is great for the skin and cheaper than paying a dermatologist. Then there is always those words your mom use to say",cleanliness is next to Godliness !" I have had so many people to come back to me and tell me about how there eczema cleared up, or they no longer have black heads moving in and taking up residence. There is no better feeling than seeing and hearing a happy customer. I wanted to take the time and thank the people that have been there to support my company and the new ones that I am sure , will come in 2012. I hope that this will be a great year for us all.
